New Zealand has 5  International Airports

Queenstown is the closest international airport, with arrivals from Melbourne & Sydney.

Travel to Invercargill from Queenstown is by road (2.5 hrs)

Christchurch airport has arrivals from Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Dubai.

There are approximately seven direct domestic flights available to/from Invercargill each day.

Auckland is New Zealands largest city, and has the most connections to international flights.

There are no direct flights to Invercargill from Auckland, however connecting flights go via Christchurch.

Alternatively, there are direct flights to Queenstown and Dunedin, and travel by road to Invercargill is approximately 2.5 hrs from each.

Wellington airport has arrivals from Australia.

Like Auckland, there are no direct flights to Invercargill from Wellington, but you can go via Christchurch.

Most travellers must have a visa or a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) before travelling to New Zealand.

Queenstown is New Zealand’s ‘adventure capital’ and a great place to spend time before or after the World Championships.
